Notes for Herbert Henry BILLSON

General Note
Can't find in 1901 Census

Fred Billson stayed with them in Los Angeles for a time.

They had no children.

Having emigrated they upgraded their job titles; Herbert became a "Horticulturalist" and Alice became a "Clothes Designer"

Census Note
Staying as a boarder

Emigration Note
They sailed 28th December 1910 from Southampton on the SS "St. Paul" bound for Ellis Island, reaching New York on the 5th Jan 1911.

They intended to stay with a friend, Mr Vaughan of 6 Chestnut ___ Albany, New York.

Their immigration papers show that Alice was 5' 5" high with a fair complexion, brown hair and grey eyes and that Herbert was 5' 10" high, of fair complexion with brown hair and blue eyes. He had tattoos on his left arm and right hand.

His occupation I think, transcribes as "Builder"
