The 1901 Census records his place of birth as Brabourne, Kent. I think this is the correct
person though as there is no other Edward Mills that matches. He probably just forgot that
he had been born in Winton, Manchester.His death certificate indicates birth in Brabourne,
perpetuating the error. His brother James Jesse recorded Edward as his next of kin in his army record. He also records Edward's addresses in Sydney, Australia, but no dates. He also witnessed James Jesse's marriage in 1910. There is no record of Elizabeth after 1901. |
